Rosselkhoznadzor: Kazakhstan has allowed the import of pigs and pig products from 33 regions of Russia since May 22

Starting from May 22, Kazakhstan allows the import and transit into/through the republic of pigs and pig products from 33 regions of Russia free from African swine fever, Rosselkhoznadzor reports. This issue was discussed within the framework of negotiations between the head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergei Dankvert with the Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Amangaliy Berdalin. The main outcome of the meeting was the abolition of restrictions on the import and transit to/through Kazakhstan from 33 African swine fever-free regions of Russia of the following goods: • live pigs and boar sperm; • pork, including wild boar meat and its processed products that have not undergone heat treatment; • leather, horned and intestinal raw materials, bristles, hunting trophies obtained from susceptible animal species; • feed and feed additives for animals of animal origin, including poultry and fish; • used equipment for transporting pigs, products and raw materials of animal origin, keeping, ...
