Rosstat: Butter in Russia increased in price by 6.6 percent in October

Among other dairy products, sour cream (by 3.2%), all types of drinking milk (except baby milk) and cream (by 2.6%), cheese (by 2.5%), as well as fermented milk products, cottage cheese, feta cheese, curd cheeses, processed cheeses, yoghurts, condensed milk (from 1.2% to 2.4%) increased in price in October. Commenting on Rosstat data, the Ministry of Agriculture reported that this year, the production of agricultural products maintains a stable positive trend - over the first nine months of this year, the volume increased by 1.8%. The department specified that indicators are growing in livestock farming, food and processing industries. In particular, it is noted that the production of livestock and poultry increased by 3.2%, raw milk - by 0.7%. Sugar production increased by 13.4%, vegetable oils by 8.1%, cheeses by 6.8%, confectionery by 5%, processed milk by 5%, flour by 3.7%, meat and offal by 3.5%.
