Rosstat noted that the grain harvest in the Russian Federation as of November 1 was 8.1% higher than last year.

INTERFAX.RU - The harvest of grains and legumes in the Russian Federation by November 1 in farms of all categories amounted to 134.5 million tons (in bunker weight), which is 8.1% more than on the same date last year (124.5 million tons), according to Rosstat.

Including agricultural organizations, 94.3 million tons were harvested. Crops were harvested from 94% of the areas.

The sunflower harvest was 0.8% less than last year - 14 million tons, including 8.8 million tons in agricultural organizations. Sugar beets harvested amounted to 35.6 million tons (0.6% less), including 31.96 million tons in agricultural organizations.

According to Rosstat, 18.5 million tons of potatoes were obtained, which is 8.5% more than a year earlier. The harvest in agricultural organizations amounted to 4.8 million tons. Open and closed ground vegetables harvested totaled 12.6 million tons (1.8% less), including 3.5 million tons in agricultural organizations.

Rosstat notes that these figures do not take into account data from four new regions.

According to the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture, the grain harvest in net weight this year will amount to 135 million tons.
