Starting April 13, 2021, new rules will be implemented for the export and import of goods between Ukraine and Azerbaijan. This change is linked to the expiration of the 1993 Agreement on cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine. The State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Ukraine and the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan are working on a new agreement focused on food safety. The trade volume between the two countries is significant, with Ukraine exporting over $100 million worth of food products to Azerbaijan, including meat, sugar, dairy, eggs, grain products, and nuts, and importing nearly $20 million worth of products from Azerbaijan, such as edible fruits, vegetables, coffee, tea, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
