Russia has allocated 2 million dollars for the delivery of humanitarian food aid to the Central African Republic (CAR). This was reported by the Russian Ambassador to CAR, Alexander Bikantov, as cited by TASS. The food shipments are being delivered to this and other developing countries as part of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). The allocated funds are specifically intended for further assistance within its framework. The ambassador noted that food supplies had previously been made through bilateral channels as well.
