Russia, Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan have decided to restrict chicken and derivative purchases only to the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) reported this Thursday (22). Previously, these nations were not exporting products from the entire country due to the detection of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the municipality of Montenegro, in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. However, the following countries maintain suspension for the entire Brazil: Eleven other countries have restricted poultry and derivative purchases for the entire state of Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to the already mentioned Russia, Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.
