Russia can increase supplies of agricultural products to Pakistan to $900 million by 2030 mainly due to wheat and legumes

The potential for exports of agricultural products from Russia to Pakistan is estimated at $900 million by 2030, which is more than double the figure for 2022 ($423 million). This forecast is contained in the review of the Agroexport federal center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The majority of Russian exports (73.7%) were wheat supplies: 1 million tons worth $311.7 million were exported in 2022 versus 396.7 thousand tons in 2021. In second place is dried chickpeas, its supplies decreased year-on-year by 8.8% - to 95.8 thousand tons. Peas occupy third place in the export structure: 95.5 thousand tons were sent to the Pakistani market, which is 70.3% lower than the 2021 level. In addition, in 2022, Russia began supplies of sunflower oil to Pakistan - 11.8 thousand tons were exported worth $16 million.
