Russia enters China's top five pork suppliers for the first time

According to statistics, in July 2024, Russia's pork exports to China reached 4.3 times that of June, to $9.6 million. Russia ranks fifth among China's pork import source countries. At the same time, China reduced imports from France and Chile, both of which were in the top five in June. Imports from France fell by 12% to $8 million, and imports from Chile fell by 10% to $7.9 million. China's imports from the Netherlands (down 7% to $10.5 million) and the United States (down 3% to $6 million) also fell. In addition to Russia, China's top five pork importers in July were Brazil, with imports of $48.5 million (28.1% share), Spain $48 million (27.8%), Denmark $11.6 million (6.7%), and the Netherlands (6.1%).
