During the 2023/24 grain season, Russia emerged as the largest exporter of peas to China, accounting for 49.1% of the market, according to the Union of Grain Exporters. Canada followed in second place with a market share of 44.7%, and the USA, Australia, and France rounded out the top five. China became the leading buyer of Russian peas, with a total of 1.13 million tons, surpassing India. Overall, Russia exported 2.63 million tons of peas globally, making it the leading exporter ahead of Canada and Turkey.
