Russia has increased supplies of tangerines from Abkhazia

Since the beginning of October this year, Abkhazia has exported 2.4 times more tangerines to Russia than during the same period in 2022, despite the decrease in the harvest. The statistics department of the State Customs Committee of the Republic reported this to TASS. Thus, since the beginning of the citrus season this year, 1.9 thousand tons of tangerines were supplied from Abkhazia to Russia, while last year for the same period - 786 tons. The volume of imports of other autumn fruits also increased compared to last year . In particular, 439 tons of feijoa were imported from the neighboring country (versus 406 tons a year earlier), persimmons - 68 tons (versus 36 tons), lemons - 99 tons (versus 68 tons). It was previously reported that the tangerine harvest in Abkhazia is expected to be 20 thousand tons less compared to 2022, but its quality is better.
