From January to July 2025, China exported a total of 28.5 million US dollars worth of fresh grapes to Russia, a 2.1-fold increase compared to the same period last year, with an actual supply volume of 16.1 thousand tons, a 1.8-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the total amount of dried grapes Russia purchased from China was only 85.8 thousand US dollars, a 94% decrease year-on-year. The quantity reduction was even greater, decreasing by 96% to 41.1 tons.
In July of this year, China's exports of fresh grapes to Russia amounted to 5.3 million US dollars, a 1.7-fold increase compared to July of last year, but a 22% decrease compared to the previous month.
Due to the increase in procurement, Russia has risen from the 8th position to among the top five importers of fresh grapes from China, with the other four countries being Vietnam (81.5 million US dollars from January to June), Kyrgyzstan (46.2 million US dollars), Indonesia (41.6 million US dollars), and Thailand (41.4 million US dollars).
At the same time, the main buyers of Chinese dried grapes include Germany (10.7 million US dollars within 7 months), the United Kingdom (7.7 million US dollars), Japan (6.2 million US dollars), Australia (5.1 million US dollars), and the United Arab Emirates (4.6 million US dollars). Russia, which was previously in the top twenty, this time ranked over 40th.
