In 2023, Russia saw an 18% increase in dairy product exports and a 5% increase in consumption, according to Artem Belov, General Director of the National Union of Milk Producers. Products such as skim milk powder and whey powder saw a significant rise in demand globally. Russian dairy products are now supplied to approximately 60 countries, with a third of domestic enterprises exporting their products. Notably, Russia made significant inroads into the Algerian market, the world's second-largest consumer of dairy products.
