Russia Increased Turkey Exports by 30%

In the first half of the year, Russia exported over 17,500 tons of turkey worth more than $50 million, which is 30% higher than the same period last year in monetary terms, according to the federal center "Agroexport". Previously, the maximum export volume for six months was 14,500 tons, a figure achieved in 2022. The largest buyers of Russian turkey in monetary terms were China (about $17.7 million), UAE (over $8.6 million), Benin (over $7.7 million), Saudi Arabia (around $4 million), and the Democratic Republic of Congo (over $3 million), according to Agroexport. This year, Russia first shipped turkey to the Central African Republic and Singapore. Moreover, it resumed exports to Ghana for the first time since 2022, and to India since 2023. The Damate Group, Russia's largest turkey producer, recently reported that it opened eight new countries for export supplies.
