In the eleventh month of 2024, Russia experienced a significant surge in its dairy exports, with volumes increasing by 20% compared to the same period in 2023, amounting to over $370 million. The export portfolio was led by cheeses and cottage cheese, contributing to over 30% of the total revenue, followed by fermented milk products, ice cream, dry milk, milk and cream, and dry whey. Notably, Russia saw a 9% increase in milk and cream exports, alongside substantial growth in cheese, dry milk, and ice cream exports. The main importers included Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Uzbekistan, with China emerging as a notable new market, showing a 70% increase in imports and ranking as the fifth largest buyer of Russian dairy products. This surge highlights a strong demand for Russian dairy products in the international market.
