Russia is planning to increase its global dairy supplies by 15-20 percent annually, with a focus on Arab countries and Southeast Asia, particularly Algeria. The country's dairy industry is projected to grow at around the same rate, with potential for exponential growth within 7-10 years. Currently, Russia's annual dairy exports are worth $400 million, with the largest recipients being countries formerly part of the Soviet Union and China. The country began delivering dairy products to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Tunisia, Egypt, and the Philippines last year. The Bryansk Cheese Factory has opened a representative office in Algeria, and other Russian enterprises are engaged in deliveries, with Algeria potentially becoming the number one buyer and exporter of dairy products in 2024.
