Russia is set to achieve a record in meat and meat product exports, reaching 800 thousand tons by the end of the year, a 16% increase from the previous year, with the first nine months already seeing a 570 thousand ton export. The most significant increase in meat supplies was to Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia for beef, and China, Serbia, and the UAE for pork. China has also emerged as a major importer of chicken and other poultry meat. In addition to meat, milk and dairy product exports have also seen a 14% to 15% increase from the same period last year. Despite this, Russia's self-sufficiency in milk is slightly below the target at 86.7%. Meat production in Russia has also seen a five% increase compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 5.2 million tons.
