Morocco facing drought: Russia offers durum wheat at an affordable price. Morocco is currently facing a period of drought, causing significant challenges related to food security. In this worrying context, Russia recently offered to supply durum wheat, an essential raw material for the manufacture of bread and pasta, to Morocco at a competitive price. In a move aimed at guaranteeing a stable supply of cereals, Morocco has extended its support to all wheat imports between July and September, regardless of origin. This initiative aims to encourage importers, following a below-average national harvest and rising prices on the world market.
