Russia provides 97% of pollock supplies to South Korea

Total imports were 129,897 tonnes, down 57% from 304,864 tonnes in the same period last year, representing 14.8% of total seafood imports of 878,732 tonnes. In January - November, 125,392 tons of frozen pollock (97%) were imported from Russia, 4,300 tons from the USA, 168 tons from Canada and 37 tons from China. The import price by country was highest at US$1.42 per kg in the United States, followed by US$1.05 per kg in Russia, US$1.08 per kg in Canada and US$1.00 per kg in China.
