Russia reduced grain shipments by more than a third in November

Over the last month of this year, Russia reduced grain exports by 37 percent from the same period last year to 4.017 million tons. Interfax reports this with reference to the head of the analytical department of the Russian Grain Union (RGU) Elena Tyurina. The expert noted that a reduction in individual supply volumes occurred for the first time since the beginning of the current agricultural year (changes every July). Shipments of two types of grains, wheat and barley, decreased by 44 and 42 percent to 3.1 million and 344 thousand tons, respectively. The RZS representative explained the decrease in the indicator by unfavorable weather conditions in the south, where a large share of deepwater capacity is concentrated. This is especially true, according to her, last month, when deliveries were stopped due to the storm. At the same time, corn supplies increased 2.2 times to 518,000.
