Russia remains the world's main buyer of peaches

Russia this year remains the world's largest importer of peaches and nectarines. This is stated in the recent report of the US Department of Agriculture (publishes agricultural indicators not only in the USA, but also in other major producing countries - ROSNG) “Stone Fruits: World Markets and Trade.” The Ministry estimates their imports for our country at 315 thousand tons, or almost 40 percent of the global figure. At the same time, the main share of supplies should come from Turkey – 215 thousand, or 11,000 tons more than a year earlier. It is also noted that this is the fourth year in a row that exports have grown. The US Department of Agriculture estimates the production of these fruits in Turkey itself at one million tons, which corresponds to last year’s record.
