The Russian Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, Rosselkhoznadzor, has decided to introduce temporary restrictions on the import and transit of sheep and goats from Bulgaria and Romania into Russia, Agri.BG learned. According to a statement from the Rosselkhoznadzor press service, the restrictions are imposed due to the registration of outbreaks of sheep and goat pox in the two countries. The restrictions include limiting the import and transit of live animals and animal products from Bulgaria and Romania. The following goods are subject to state veterinary supervision by Russia: products derived from raw meat of sheep and goats, milk and dairy products, animal feed, and other raw materials and products obtained from the slaughter of sheep and goats, as well as used equipment for their breeding, slaughter, and processing.
