The report shows that Russia, as one of the world's two largest narrow-barred mackerel producers alongside the United States, saw a 27% year-on-year increase in the total value of its narrow-barred mackerel products exported to four key markets: China, the European Union, South Korea, and Japan, reaching a total value of 1.3 billion U.S. dollars. Meanwhile, U.S. exports of similar products decreased by 3% during the same period, totaling 713 million U.S. dollars. China is Russia's most important export market, accounting for 634 million U.S. dollars in exports, a 34% year-on-year increase. Of this, whole narrow-barred mackerel exports totaled 435,000 tons, with an export value of 565 million U.S. dollars, a 40% year-on-year increase; minced fish exports totaled 2.5 million tons, with an export value of 55 million U.S. dollars, a 35% year-on-year increase; and fish fillet exports totaled 7,000 tons, with an export value of 16 million U.S. dollars, a 50% year-on-year increase. Russia's exports of narrow-barred mackerel products to South Korea totaled 229 million U.S. dollars, a 2% year-on-year decrease. Of this, narrow-barred mackerel mince exports totaled 1.3 million tons, with an export value of 31 million U.S. dollars, and narrow-barred mackerel roe sauce exports totaled 2 million tons, with an export value of 68 million U.S. dollars, a 20% year-on-year decrease. Russia's exports of fish mince and narrow-barred mackerel fillets to Japan totaled 1.8 million tons and 4,000 tons, with export values of 45 million U.S. dollars and 15 million U.S. dollars, respectively, a 50% and 45% year-on-year increase, respectively. Russia's exports of narrow-barred mackerel fillets to the European Union totaled 93,000 tons, with an export value of 245 million U.S. dollars, a 60% year-on-year increase.
