Russia is projected to reach a record in meat production by the end of 2024, becoming the fourth-largest producer globally, as per the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and the National Meat Association. The country's meat production is anticipated to grow due to modern technologies, with the total production of livestock and poultry for slaughter expected to increase by 3.8% in 2024 compared to 2023, totaling 12.5 million tons. This growth is expected to be seen across all types of livestock, including cattle, pigs, and poultry. Furthermore, the meat processing industry is expected to see a growth in production volumes of sausages, semi-finished meat products, and canned goods. In 2023, Russia's meat production stood at 11.7 million tons.
