In the first half of 2020, Russia saw a 7% increase in agricultural exports to the Baltic countries, totaling $ 297 million, despite political tensions. The exports were led by meal and cake, followed by rapeseed oil and beet pulp, with significant decreases in wheat exports due to high local yields. The Baltics depend on imports of vegetables and fruits, with the EU being their main trading partners. Russia ranks as their 11th largest food supplier, with potential for growth especially in fat and oil industry products, alcohol, beet pulp, fish, and seafood.
