According to the center, in the first eight months of 2025, China imported over 5,000 tons of bakery products from Russia, with a total import value exceeding 12 million U.S. dollars. Compared to the same period last year, the total import value from Russia increased by 32%, and the import volume increased by 5%.
On March 18, the Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center informed the satellite communication agency that, according to preliminary statistics, in 2024, Russia exported over 8.3 million tons of agricultural products to China, with a total export value of approximately 7.4 billion U.S. dollars. Among the agricultural products exported from Russia to China, the largest export volume was rapeseed oil (13%), followed by barley (10%), and then sunflower seed oil and peas (each 8%), and soybeans (7%). China became the main importer of Russian agricultural products in 2024, maintaining this position for two consecutive years.
