Russian Center for the Development of Agricultural Exports: This year in the first half, Russian exports of live pig products to China have doubled.

Reports indicate that in the first six months of 2025, Russia exported $92 million worth of pork products to China, making China the third-largest importer of Russian pork products, with Belarus ranking first with an import value of nearly $1.7 billion (an increase of 73%), and Vietnam in second place with an import value of approximately $1.3 billion (an increase of 91%).

Ilyushin, the director of the Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center, stated: "This year, pork and pork by-products exports to China have continued to grow. In April 2025, monthly exports exceeded 7,000 tons for the first time, and in May, they reached 8,500 tons. If the list of Russian companies certified for exports to China expands, this figure could increase significantly."

Reports indicate that in the first half of 2025, Russia's pork product exports exceeded $500 million, with a 53% year-on-year increase in the supply of pork and pork by-products, and a 79% year-on-year increase in export value.

According to the Russian National Pig Farmers' Association, by the end of 2025, Russia's pork product exports could reach 430,000 tons, equivalent to $1 billion.
