The Far Eastern fishery basin saw an increase in production volume by 16.8%, with over 3.5 million tons produced. The Northern Fisheries Basin caught 403 thousand tons, including cod, haddock, and capelin. In the Western fishery basin, production volume increased by 3.9%, reaching 63.8 thousand tons. In the Volga-Caspian fishery basin, fishermen caught 67.7 thousand tons, 11.3% more than in 2022. The catch in the Azov-Black Sea fishery basin amounted to 33.4 thousand tons, including anchovy and sprat. The Russian fishing fleet also mastered over 476.5 thousand tons of production in foreign states' exclusive economic zones.
