The Far Eastern fishery basin saw a 17% increase in production, with pollock and herring being the top catches. In the Northern Fisheries Basin, cod was the main catch, while in the Western fishery basin, overall production increased by 6.7%, driven by higher catches of sprat and Baltic herring. The Volga-Caspian and Azov-Black Sea fishery basins also recorded increased production, while the Russian fishing fleet saw a 2.2% increase in production in foreign waters. Fish products continue to be supplied uninterrupted to the domestic market.
