Russian scientists have created a collection of berry plants to reduce import dependence on planting material

A variety testing site for forest berry plants was established in Moscow on the territory of the Dendrological Garden named after R.I. Schroeder. Scientific work is carried out within the framework of the activities of the National Center for Medical Sciences “Agricultural Technologies of the Future”. To preserve the gene pool of high-value plant species and reduce import dependence on planting material and fruit products of forest berry plants on the domestic market, the Timiryazev Academy decided to create its own bioresource collection.
