Russian scientists will preserve the diversity of berry crops thanks to the bioresource collection

A variety testing site for forest berry plants was established in Moscow on the territory of the Dendrological Garden named after R.I. Schroeder. Scientific work is carried out within the framework of the activities of the National Center for Medical Sciences “Agricultural Technologies of the Future”. To preserve the gene pool of high-value plant species and reduce import dependence in planting material and fruit products of forest berry plants on the domestic market, it was decided at the Timiryazev Academy to create its own bioresource collection.
