Russian selection of forest berry crops received a bioresource collection

The collection will include both popular varieties of berry crops, as well as rare, endangered, and interesting hybrids. On the territory of the Dendrological Garden named after R.I. Schroeder in Moscow, a site has been created for the test cultivation of forest berry plants. This scientific work is carried out within the framework of the activities of the National Center for Medical Sciences “Agricultural Technologies of the Future”. In order to preserve the gene pool of species of highly valuable forest berry plants and reduce dependence on imports in relation to material for planting and production of these plants on the Russian market, the Timiryazev Academy decided to create its own bioresource collection.
