From January to September this year, the volume of chocolate supplied by Russia to the U.S. market increased by nearly 12% compared to the same period last year. The previous highest record was in 2021, when the U.S. purchased chocolate worth $2 million from Russia during the same period. In early autumn this year, the U.S. imported chocolate worth $309,600 from Russia, which is nearly five times the amount imported in August and three times the amount imported in September 2024. For the first nine months of 2025, the largest suppliers of chocolate to the U.S. were Canada and Mexico, which have signed free trade agreements with the U.S., exporting $2.3 billion and $534.9 million worth of chocolate to the U.S., respectively. Belgium ($220.6 million) ranked third in terms of chocolate exports to the U.S.
