Oleksandr Nechyporenko, deputy director of the Institute of Agrarian Economics and correspondent member of the National Academy of Sciences in Ukraine, discussed the country's role in the global rye market. In the year preceding the war, Ukraine exported nearly 137,000 tons of rye, contributing a mere 0.3% to the global exports.
