Chile has exported over 1.5 tons of gourmet fractionated honey to China, marking the country's first export of this type of honey to Asia. The shipment, which was packaged in jars of 500 and 250 gr, was transported through the Arturo Merino Benítez airport and is expected to be received at the Shanghai International Airport. The Chinese market has a high demand for quality and safety in fractionated honey, with New Zealand and Australia being its main suppliers. This export is significant as it demonstrates Chile's high animal health and safety standards and provides a potential market for honey, a product of high commercial value. The Agricultural and Livestock Service of Chile will continue to work towards maintaining the country's zoosanitary status to open more markets and opportunities for Chilean products globally.
