The Government of Santa Catarina officially launched the 2025 edition of the Corn Seeds Project, one of the main actions of the Terra Boa Program, aimed at supporting family agriculture in the state. The announcement was made in Maravilha, in the Far West of Santa Catarina, during the second edition of the event "Santa Catarina Taken Seriously: Accountability", in the Amerios region. With a 27.5% increase in the budget compared to the previous year, the project will have R$ 36.6 million in investments, within the total of R$ 116 million planned for Terra Boa in 2025. The initiative provides for the distribution of 170,000 bags of corn seeds with high genetic value, benefiting around 42.5 thousand families in all municipalities of the state.
