The Santa Catarina State Secretariat of Agriculture and Livestock (Sape) has published Sape Ordinance No. 66/2025, which regulates exceptional authorizations for soybean planting in the state. Effective since December 1, the measure aims to reconcile production, research, and innovation with the phytosanitary safety of crops. The Cidasc will be responsible for analyzing and granting the authorizations, following technical criteria defined in the regulation. The exceptional plantings cover cases of research, teaching, seed production, demonstration units at agricultural events, and, in special situations, grain production impacted by atypical climatic conditions. For research in a protected environment, authorization is automatic. For commercial seed and grain production, producers must respect the sanitary period and rules of the Ministry of Agriculture, including registration in the Renasem.
