The condition of winter grain crops in Ukraine by the end of May should be considered generally satisfactory, and in some places relatively good. This was reported by the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, writes APK-Inform. This statement especially applies to winter crops grown after better predecessors, particularly after peas, while adhering to all technological requirements. According to experts, a significant deficit of productive moisture in the soil, especially if there are no precipitation at the beginning of the calendar summer, will inevitably have an extremely negative impact on the yield, primarily of winter wheat, the level of which, according to preliminary data, will be lower than last year's indicators and will depend on further weather conditions during June.
