Vietnam's seafood exports experienced a 17% increase in November, reaching nearly 924 million USD, and overall earnings for the first 11 months of the year amounted to nearly 9.2 billion USD, an 11.5% increase over 2023. The industry is on track to achieve its target of 10 billion USD in exports by the end of the year. Shrimp and pangasius continue to be the primary contributors, bringing in 4 billion USD and 2 billion USD, respectively. Other products like crab, shellfish, and tuna also saw high growth. Fishmeal exports reached 220.4 million USD in the first 10 months and are projected to reach 264.6 million USD for the year, with China being the main market. The seafood industry is optimistic about the future, expecting to see continued growth in 2024.
