Vietnam's seafood exports in the third quarter of 2024 saw a significant increase of nearly 13% compared to the same period in the previous year, reaching a value of US$2.76 billion. This marks a high point after four years of disruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, war, inflation, and market fluctuations. The first nine months of 2024 witnessed an 8.5% growth in seafood exports, totaling US$7.16 billion, with key products such as tra fish, shrimp, crab, and shellfish experiencing various degrees of growth. The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) is optimistic about the future of seafood exports, projecting a total value of US$9.5 billion in 2024, a 7% increase compared to the previous year.
