The Directorate of Fisheries is taking initiatives to maintain growth, aiming for an export turnover of 11 billion USD in 2022 and 10 billion USD in 2023. The industry has seen an increase in the number of pangasius exporting enterprises to the US and a decrease in chemical and antibiotic residues warnings, but there is a need to focus on linking businesses with clean production and improving quality indicators such as microbiology and glazing rate for certain markets.
