Seaweed extracts are becoming increasingly important in agriculture due to their potential to enhance plant nutrition and health. A report by the World Bank and The Nature Conservancy highlights the diverse benefits of seaweed, including sustainable food production, biopackaging, biomaterials, and medical solutions. Acadian Plant Health (APH) is leveraging seaweed as biostimulants to mitigate the effects of abiotic stressors and improve plant growth, health, and productivity. Their product, Ascophyllum nodosum, sourced from the cold North Atlantic waters, is noted for its survival mechanisms and bioactive compounds, making it a valuable addition to modern agriculture.
