The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) has successfully opened the El Salvador market to Brazilian chicken meat and egg imports, as confirmed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. This marks a significant milestone for Brazil, offering a substantial opportunity to penetrate the Central American continental markets further. El Salvador, with its 6.4 million population and annual imports of over 22 thousand tons of chicken meat and 2.5 thousand tons of eggs, primarily from the United States and Guatemala, now presents a new and promising market for Brazilian poultry and egg producers. This achievement is particularly notable as it represents Brazil's first entry into the Central American market, setting the stage for potential access to additional neighboring markets in the region.
