The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in South Korea has discarded 385 agricultural products due to violations in pesticide residue limits. The inspection focused on products sold at local stores and marts during the summer, with one spinach sample containing seven times the permitted level of 'pyridalyl' and Angelicae containing nine times the permitted level of 'fendimetallin'. The ministry is planning to strengthen food safety management through increased inspections and education on correct pesticide use, particularly with the rise of online agricultural product distribution due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
