The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has approved seven additional Paraguayan slaughterhouses to export beef to Saudi Arabia, bringing the total to eleven. This follows a successful audit in December 2023 and is seen as a strengthening of the Arabian Gulf's main market for Paraguayan beef. Senacsa's president, Dr. José Carlos Martin Camperchioli, highlighted the religious aspect of the approval process, noting the collaboration with the Islamic Center of Asunción to establish halal slaughter mechanisms.
