Shiitake mushrooms from Seosan, South Chungcheong Province, are making their way to the U.S. market, with a recent export deal valued at 10 million won facilitated by Jeongdam Co., Ltd. This follows a successful shipment last October worth 7 million won. Jeongdam's cultivation process, which uses bedrock water and domestic oak sawdust, ensures that the mushrooms are free from pesticides and GAP certified. The latest batch is expected to reach the U.S. by early May. The Seosan Agricultural Technology Center is actively working to promote the city's agricultural specialties abroad, showcasing the high quality of local produce.
