Grape producers and distributors in South Korea are convening to address concerns of overproduction of Shine Muscat grapes this year. The Korea Grape Association and the Agricultural and Food New Distribution Research Institute recently held a meeting to discuss the upcoming grape season, coordinate supply and demand, and promote consumption. With an estimated grape cultivation area of 14,512 ha, a slight decrease from the previous year, and an anticipated increase in market import volume of Shine Muscat, there is a pressing need for quality control to support the price. Local governments and industry officials will collaborate to address the expected surplus of Shine Muscat grapes.
