Chinda large fruit chili, also known as Green chili, is a profitable crop in Songkhla Province, Thailand. The majority of the production is exported to Malaysia via the Sadao customs house and the Padang Besar Plant Inspection Checkpoint, with the rest distributed domestically. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the pricing of chili peppers has not been affected. The Office of Agricultural Economics 9, Songkhla Province, is promoting knowledge to aid farmers in cultivation and has found that the crop can be harvested around 8 times per year. The province is also combating potential outbreaks of anthracnose or dried shrimp in chili peppers during the rainy season.
