A large bulk carrier, the Pacific South, has docked at the Paranaguá port complex in Brazil, preparing to load a record 103,000 tonnes of soybean meal. This is the largest cargo ever received at the port and surpasses the previous record by 13,000 tonnes. The ship, which is the largest ever to dock at the port, arrived from Shanghai, China, and is bound for Amsterdam, Netherlands. The loading process, expected to take around five days, will be conducted by Cargill, the company overseeing the operation. The Export Corridor, home to nine private and two public terminals, has adopted a model that enables simultaneous shipments on a single vessel, enhancing the efficiency and productivity of the berths.
