We are not bound by the same strict rules as in the case of nitrogen application. However, applying fertilizers during this period often raises concerns about potential nutrient leaching," the report states. Regarding potential leaching, it is often said that it is better to apply potassium in advance rather than wait, for example, until the end of February. Why? The risk of soil water deficit is higher later, than the risk of leaching the previously applied nutrient. It is important to note that the movement of potassium in the soil occurs relatively slowly.
