China is the largest buyer, followed by the United States, European Union, and Colombia. Despite economic experts predicting a recession, the sector is investing in technology and free trade agreements. However, Ecuador's trade balance for non-oil, non-mining products from January to August is negative, with imports exceeding exports by $2,690 million.
